My grandmother and mother made quilts not so fancy as these but just as special. Hand quilting has been replaced with machine quilting. I can still remember the quilt set up in the frame in the living room and a group of women around it hand quilting.

Very lovely quilts. My great grandmother made over 1000 quilts for people in the Mora area who had house fires etc. I have a few of her quilts which were all hand stitched and are very lovely and meaningful, also!
