From Logs to Lumber

A tornado in ‘22 took down many trees on our place. My husband cut the oak and ash into 8’ logs. A year and 7 months later, thanks to a neighbor with a portable sawmill, we have many beautiful boards. Now, what to build when they are dried and planed? It will be another year for that. Somethings take awhile…not everything is instant.

Maya and Max Series

The series continues. Maya and Max are regular kids facing some issues kids face. See how they navigate life in 5th grade. “The Christmas Program” is the sixth in an eight book series. Third through sixth graders like this series. Each book has discussion questions on topics coming from the story. Suggested uses: individual reader, small group reading and discussion and parent-child read and discuss.

Drama Camp

Fun to see Granddaughter in a junior version of the Little Mermaid. Afterward she came back to the cabin with us for the weekend meteor show event. We were up at 4:30 am enjoying the show. Meteors, satellites, the Milky Way, constellations and at least one planet! Astronomy was her favorite this past year in homeschool.
