Lots of cool weather and rain this spring. Flowers coming on late it seems, but lovely.

Our youngest grandchild is here for his solo trip to the cabin. Each of the four grands came as they turned 8. It was a long wait for him, but seems like overnight for us. Wasn’t he just a toddler not too long ago?

We enjoy these day trips to Lake Superior! The water was calm, sky blue and even though the air temp was in the 50’s the sun was warm. Perfectly beautiful!

We were living in Scott County, Minnesota at the time. The prayer journey around the state started here. The county government offices were big and modern.

…all winter for this.

A snowless winter has turned into a snowy spring.

…all year for this. There must be a lesson in this somehow. Waiting? Waiting for beauty to appear?

Enjoyed the lard Ruth gave me this past summer, so made some for myself. Long process, but the result is worth it. We are also making our own brats with the venison and pork we have. Fun learning these new skills.

A tornado in ‘22 took down many trees on our place. My husband cut the oak and ash into 8’ logs. A year and 7 months later, thanks to a neighbor with a portable sawmill, we have many beautiful boards. Now, what to build when they are dried and planed? It will be another year for that. Somethings take awhile…not everything is instant.
